This was a custom project for a home music studio: a pushcart for percussion instruments in soft maple and baltic birch plywood. As is the case with most of my larger projects, I modeled each component in this drawing (as opposed to merely drawing the overall form.) This allows me to explore mechanical intersections, i.e. joinery, before cutting them. Very useful in a piece like this comprised entirely solid wood construction — no fasteners, just hand-cut joinery and glue.
